Disable the Thumbnail Preview Feature in Windows Vista

The thumbnails in Windows helps the user to identify files more easily and fastly while searching files. It is more helpful while searching for a specific video or picture file from a long list of these files. But if your computer slows down due to thumbnails, you can disable these thumbnails to erdicate the problem of computer slow down. You can disable thumbnails in Windows by following the steps given below.

1. Open ‘My Computer’ and click the ‘Organize’ drop-down menu.

2. Slect the ‘Folder and Search options’ checkbox.

3. Select the ‘View’ tab.

4. Select the ‘Always show icons, never thumbnails’ checkbox under the ‘Files and Folders’ section.
