Windows Vista has a new feature called Super Fetch. Super Fetch reloads applications which are always used. Eventhough the Super Fetch feature launch specified applications fastly, it might not be required by people like gamers and also Super Fetch might not be required if you have less than 2GB of RAM since its performance will be poor if you have less memory. Sometimes Super Fetch will also speed up background processes like antivius scans and other applications could slow down.  So you could disable the Super Fetch feature. If you want to disable Super Fetch, just follow the steps given below.

1. Click the ‘Start’ button and type ’services.msc’ in the search box.

Disable/Turn off Super Fetch

2. Select the ‘Disbled’ option from the ‘Startup type’ drop down menu and click the ‘OK’ button.
