Disable System Restore

In case of a virus attack, a system crash etc, Windows System Restore feature in Vista brings back your system to the prior condition and makes everything normal. Hence, it is a very useful tool. But if you want, you can turn off or disable the Windows System Restore feature and by doing so, you can improve your system performance. For disabling this tool, simply follow the steps given below.

1.First open the ‘Control Panel’.
2.Then double-click the ‘System’ icon.
3.Then select the ‘System Protection’ link.
4.Then clear the checkboxes of the drives which you want to disablee the System Restore feature.
5.Click ‘OK’ to save the changes.
