Disable Windows Hibernation

by Bimal Roy on May 25, 2009

in Windows Vista

The Hibernation utility is another feature of Windows. It saves your current activities and also saves electricity(especilly if you are using a laptop). But it also utilzes a lot of Windows resources. A person who does’nt use the Hibernation feature frequently, might not require it. So if you don’t require it, you can disable the Hibernation facility. For doing it, follow the steps given below.

1.Open the ‘Control Panel’.
2.Double-click the’Power Options’ icon.
3.Select the ‘Change Plan Settings’ checkbox.
5.Click the ‘Change Advanced Power Settings’ link.
6.Expand the ‘Sleep’ option, expand the ‘Hibernate After Selection’ option, enter ‘0′ in the textbox and click ‘OK’.
