Keywords are one of the important factors or requirements that a website should have in the right quantity. Keywords helps the blogger a lot to increase his/her site’s visitors if he/she uses them in the correct place and in the correct number. If your site has the ratio between the number of keywords present in its posts to the total number of normal words in it (Keyword Density) in the perfect rate and if your posts are of good topics, your posts can become popular resulting in the growth of the site to a great extent. About 4.5% is the normal rate of Keyword Density that should be used in a post. So taking the steps given below into consideration, he/she should enter the keywords in his/her site in the correct way for the growth of your site.

  1. Your important keywords should be placed close to the beginning of the web page or at the beginning of the post.
  2. You can also try placing your main keywords in the Title tag.
  3. Thinking that by increasing the keyword density you can increase your blog traffic, if you increase the Keyword Density it might affect you adversely. It is a serious offence in the eyes of the search engines and they might remove the post in which you have done the offence or even ban your site! So the same keywords which were used once should not be used again and again in the same post. And in the same way if your Keyword Density is too low, your rank in the search engines will go down.
  4. You should keep in mind that you must please your readers rather than the search engines. So you should not create your posts just for the search engines but you should create it for your readers.
  5. You can also stylize your keywords. For e.g apply bold effect to your important keywords, this give more predominance to the keywords than the normal text.

Hence, one of the important factors that controls the development of your site is Keyword Density. So, utilise the keywords wisely that is your Keyword Density should not become neither too high nor too low;it might affect your Search Engine Rank Position (SERP).
